As the Days Inn in Concord sees its final days, the building was put to good use before it’s transformed into a Tru By Hilton property. Due to upcoming demolition, the Concord Fire Department was able to use the property as a training facility. Though the Department routinely performs training, this was a good opportunity to use a real building versus one at a training facility. “It’s an extremely valuable opportunity for us to have access to a real building. The firefighters are faced with real life challenges that they don’t always get with our normal training facilities. We’re very grateful to be able to use this space,” said Mick Costello, Fire Training Captain.
The Concord Fire Department spent five full days training. Demolition on the property is set to begin within the week.
